Okay the designs done for the time being (including the cool banner from a map of the Roman Empire around circa 395 I found) . I’d like to make this site more akin to ‘the mother site’ it respect to functionality. I’d also really like to get an avatar working.
The reference software we used earlier was useful to an extent. But we never really got our hungry kitten mitts on the web version which would of been fifty times more useful.
I’ve blogrolled everyone who I could from the course (apart from Lynsey who appears to be broken). Adding new category called ‘notes’.
Hopefully going to establish who my supervisor will be. Although the criteria of my dissertation eliminates all but one.
Ramble
I’m going to go make spiced chai tea.. it tastes like ginger cake. Might play my violin, it’s my new destressing activity. Big shooting competition this weekend. Need haircut, new daysack and to see a man about some waterproofs as some scousers stole mine.

This is definitely up for the cool site of the week award! Seriously, the more ‘ownership’ of this place, the more you will take it on into some interesting areas. It looks like you’re doing just that.
You’re right about the workshop today but I had to make it inclusive. Lots of people were coming to this for the first time. Endnote web (http://www.endnoteweb.com/) is great but you have to be careful to update the references from your desktop version. Have a look at it and see how you get on.
I’m also pleased you have included del.icio.us on the site. I’ll network to you from my own and save anything useful I find to you.
Turn comments on Edd or choose not to moderate them so that I can see the dialogue as it emerges.
Hi Ed i think your blog is also really good! You seem to know the area you would like to follow for your dissertation which is ace. It deffinately puts mine to shame! Thank you for your post, it was very helpful and I am always gratful of any ideas. If only I knew more about world war 2 I would be able to give you some informative advice but unfortunately, i might just have to comment on your ideas and design for now! good work!
